Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of LinguaBattle ("we"). By downloading or using the LinguaBattle app you agree to them. If you obtained the app through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app; where these terms conflict with it, these terms govern to the extent permitted.

1. The service

LinguaBattle is a language-learning app. The free tier works on your device. LinguaBattle Plus adds cloud-powered features such as AI conversation practice, story Journeys, cloud speech recognition and cross-device sync.

2. LinguaBattle Plus subscription

• Auto-renewal. Plus is a monthly auto-renewable subscription. The price is shown in the app before you subscribe.
• Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Renewal. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period; the renewal charge is applied within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple; refund requests are handled by Apple under their policies.

3. Fair use of AI features

Cloud AI features are subject to reasonable monthly usage limits to keep the service sustainable. If you reach a limit, the affected features may be reduced or paused until the limit resets; on-device alternatives keep working where available.

4. AI-generated content

Lessons, dialogues, feedback and answers may be generated by AI models. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for your situation, and language corrections may occasionally be wrong. Use your judgment; the content is provided for learning practice, not professional advice.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit (text, voice recordings, photos). You grant us permission to process it as needed to operate the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you submit and must not submit content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse the service — including attempting to circumvent usage limits or subscription checks, reverse-engineering the service, probing or disrupting our servers, or using the AI features to generate unlawful content.

7. Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access to cloud features for accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means the updated terms apply.
